Golden Womb: (Rig Veda 10.121). ( 33’’ X 42’’).
The Creator in this hymn (Rig Veda 10.121) is called Hiranyagarbha, a truly pregnant term. It is a compound noun, whose first element means Gold and whose second element means Womb, seed, embryo or child.
This hymn becomes prominent in the cosmogenic myth of the golden egg, that separates the two shells becoming the sky and other shell being the earth, while the yolk being the Sun.
The art depicts the first birth , before anything got created in this universe. The color white is used to indicate that there was not even color created before the earth, sky and sum was born. The yolk which is the Sun floats in the water, sea, or any watery substance on earth and the watery Substance in the sky in the form of clouds. This is similar to a baby in the mothers’ womb which is placed in a jelly type substance which is in the form of water.
